The boys like to come out of their room after we have put them to bed and come up with all sorts of excuses to come out. It usually involves Jonathan coming out with a really important question followed by James sucking his thumb and pulling his car blankie along. Jonathan will start his question and James will usually repeat it in his own little way. Last night the question was, “What is a termite?” I know, how could he have forgotten to ask us during daytime hours? Of course, James repeated the question and we answered that it’s a little bug. James asked, “ittel bug wike Gricie?”
The boys made a fort out of their bunk bed. They pretended to be hiding from “bad guys”. I suggested they make a sign that said, “Bad Guys Stay Out”, and Jonathan responded with, “Mom, bad guys don’t follow instructions.”
We went to the church parking lot to ride bikes and scooters. James really wants to ride a big boy bike. It's all he can do to ride the little tricycle when he sees Jonathan on his two-wheeler.
James likes to sing little songs about being a big kid while he sits on the potty. It is quite cute. He also has decided that Gracie is his little pet. He calls her, "my Gracie". Sometimes he carries Gracie from one room to the other to help her find me. She is usually smiling, and I'm thinking "if only you knew". He also likes pushing her around in her umbrella stroller.
